Let me tell you, i miei amici, about an exquisite little private beach club in Torre Canne aptly named Lido Bizzarro. My friend Leonardo in Cisternino told me about the spot a couple of years ago and I have been going ever since, when down that way in Puglia. The place, decked out in Hermes orange, is so low key and chic as not to be believed. Draws an international crowd of those bored staying in their 5 star Masseria Hotels, abet with gorgeous pools, and wanting a taste of the Adriatic. Families, groups of trulli renters, and locals all mix wonderfully. The real thing. Crowded in August, but bliss in June, July, and September. The food and vino suprisingly good as well, as one sits in ones ubiquitous white plastic chair with friends at large tables over-looking the water. Trust me. The link is below.
